Rather than give more attention to Ann Coulter's latest vile remarks, I figured I'd let Henry Rollins tell the world what he thinks about her in this intensely satisfying video letter.

I think stuff like this is really, really counterproductive. It just lets her know she's getting to you, and her supporters cackle at you.
You should concentrate on defeating her ideas! And don't tell me she doesn't have any. She has plenty, and if you could match her you could beat her.
What's with the profanity? What does that add? Make something I can show to my kids, to show them what's wrong with her. Otherwise this is just a big circle jerk.

i think that pretty much puts you out of the running in the constructive criticism department. this is satire/social commentary. he's not engaging her on issues, he's talking to ann coulter, the person. and it's pretty damn funny.
Henry, dude, Ann Coulter is a DUDE (strains of Aerosmiths "Dude looks like a lady" in the background). No lie. Her-his name is Arthur Coltrane, look it up. I seriously doubt you'd wanna spend the night in the sack with THAT. Other than that, the letter is right on. I think she's starting to alienate her right-wing extremist crowd so in time I'm sure they'll all be wishing she'd STFU!!
I think this is exactly the right way TO attack her! This video doesn't even bother to try to set her lies straight because they are so absurd and biased they don't deserve to be intelligently debated. Kudos to Mr. Rollins

Ann is right. The four widows are being used by the left to push their agenda. People are afraid (except for Ann and a few others) to call them on it because they lost their husbands. They have the right to say what they want, but when they enter the political arena, they become fair game.

Okay, here we have Ann Coulter - a top notch political figure. HENRY ROLLINS!?! He was kinda cool when he guest hosted VH1 shows, I suppose. But none of his blather in this is an argument. He's telling Ann to "Shut the F**k Up"? After hearing that long winded pail of hot air, I could request the same thing of him.
I think it's a disgrace that these no names and has-beens (though being a has-been requires having been a huge success in one moment of time - has he?) are using a name like Ann Coulter's to make a point and win friends.
If he was as intellectual as he pretends to be, he would know that he would have done more harm to her if he would have completely ignored her.

Engaging Ann Coulter on issues is a completely pointless exercise. Henry approached this subject in the perfect manner, and I applaud him ... as usual.
Additionally, I agree that Ann Coulter and her ilk have pretty much squashed intelectualism in popular America. I also would add that, though you are probably far too gone to realize this, this is a very bad thing.
There is no way to "defeat" Coulter's ideas. Yes, she has "ideas" in the very specific sense, but they are not ideas that can be "defeated". suggesting this is like saying Hitler's ideas should have been defeated in Germany 1932 when Lenny Reifenstal put them in film. I would never say she is "correct" but I would also never give her the benifit of an arguable point. Her "point" is that she hates anyone not exactly like her and her fascist ilk. Well, good for her, but this is not something that is debatable, objective, or a newsworthy fact. I hate beets ... wo what.
As a reporter, she is an embarasment. As a media whore, she is a sceaming success.
Rollins DID point out some issues, though he didn't signpost when and where. You have to watch closely and actually LISTEN instead fo waiting for the dirty words to catch it. I, for one, think this was a beautiful oratory and he has once again showed his skill and ability both as a speaker and artist.
How lame Henry Collins is and how vulgar. His namecalling tactics and stupid humor could not find an audience on anything less listened to as Air America Radio.

I have never heard of Mr. Rollins before, but I can tell that he is a typical conservative. Full of hate. Especially towards women. I will never understand why men feel the need to attack and demean women. When the Democrats take over in 2008, we can only hope that vile hate speech such as Mr. Rollins' will begin to come to an end.

Ok, I get his point. And I agree she needs to shut the fuck up, but this was disappointing coming from him. I would have expected something a lot more clever and a lot less frat-boy-esque. Sort of surprised he stooped to her level. And since she's obviously insane, this is her self-serving attempt at sensationalism - the only way she can get any attention at all, or make any money. She needs to find a more dignified way to make a living-I hear McDonalds is hiring. But I think Henry could have done better.
We all could take on Ann Coulter. That's not the problem. She's far too frozen in her own being to let any sense get through--much like the President. Her eyes are on the prize--money. Any woman willing to turn on her own sex is not worthy to be called a woman, I think. So we do what the openminded do best--we watch her until she fizzles out. It's inevitable.
I can't believe this Ann (or Frederick, or whatever) is actually getting air time on Faux. Or any network for that matter.

Now I'm aggravated with Ann Coulter, Henry Rollins, and this website, instead of just Ann Coulter. "Intensely satisfying?" Orgasms and perfectly cooked bacon are intensely satisfying. Hearing someone attempt to put this attention whore in her place by reciting the obviously bad things about her and a list of obviously not-happening things someone might do to her? Rip off. I'm not saying this to be a cunt. I'm saying I think Rollins is capable of actually writing funny, smart stuff, and I wish I'd gotten to see/hear/read some of it.

mpls - Yes, you obviously don't know Rollins at all. If you listened to any of his spoken word tracks or attended any of his performances, you'd find out he's actually kind of a feminist.
Rollins is awesome, and he deals with Coulter in the way that she should be dealt with - a halfserious, mocking tone and simple one-liners. Her personal attacks and rambling hate speech should garner nothing more.
It's good to see you've lost your mind. Nothing like seeing a 45 year old man sit his video camera on a tower of books while he talks to his computer and at times shows us the sweet tat on his neck.

Did anyone else see Henry's latest performance in Israel? He looked like a complete dumb ass! He kept trying to tell the non-responsive and unbearably accommodating Israelis how Bush (one of Israel's biggest supporters) was a terrorist and how they all need to fix their "situation". Needless to say, the audience was practically silent for the entire show. Who the hell is Henry to give them advice? I used to really like HR, but this was just too much. Ann Coulter is rich, beautiful, conservative, literate, witty, hilarious, decent, incredibly intelligent, wholly honest, accomplished, listened to and admired by millions, revered, and lampooned by hundreds. She believes in the Constitution, which libs can't say since they hate both it and especially the Second Amendment.
